Case Study – Wroxham School

The Wroxham School is a National teaching school rated outstanding by Ofsted in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire. The staff at the school wanted to develop an outdoor music area. With our skill set we helped to get the ball rolling. Download the PDF case study here.

We surveyed the site and then spent time in classrooms asking the children what they wanted and to help design some instruments.

The brief was to:

  • Use 90% recycled materials
  • Cater for 33 learners at a time
  • Include a range of instruments and sounds
  • Include outside waterproof speakers
  • Comply with current DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) requirements
  • Provide all H&S (health and safety) documents including a risk assessment

The end result was a musical garden that all of the children could access and take ownership of.
